At United Way of Dane County, we believe cost should not prevent you from getting the health care you deserve. That’s why we’re helping lower-income individuals and families who make too much to qualify for BadgerCare purchase insurance through healthcare.gov via our HealthConnect Premium Assistance Program.

In order to qualify for our HealthConnect Premium Assistance program, you must:
Qualify for Advance Premium Tax Credit (APTC)
Live in Dane County
Be enrolled in an eligible Silver level 06 plan via the Marketplace
Be a U.S. Citizen or Lawfully Present Resident
Fall Within the Income Ranges Below (for 2024 coverage)
Monthly Income
Family of 1: $1,215-$1,823
Family of 2: $1,643-$2,465
Family of 3: $2,072-$3,108
Family of 4: $2,500-$3,750
More than 4? For each person, add $643.
Yearly Income
Family of 1: $14,580-$21,870
Family of 2: $19,720-$29,580
Family of 3: $24,860-$37,290
Family of 4: $30,000-$45,000
More than 4? For each person, add $7,710.

This program is made possible by generous donations from UW Health and Quartz. HealthConnect offers premium rate coverage for 20 Silver-level plans through Quartz, GHC, and Dean. This ensures that participants have control over their preferred providers, pharmacies and locations of care.
