Our Purpose

We are Women United. For more than 20 years, we’ve worked together to create meaningful, lasting impact for Dane County families – helping more women and children get what they need to lead healthy, thriving and secure lives. As we launch into the next decade, we’re focused on supporting financial security for women – empowering them and their families to build financial security through strategies that integrate family-sustaining jobs, stable housing and food security. Because we know that when more women are financially secure and on pathways towards success, entire generations of families are better positioned to thrive.

Our Impact

We Ignite Change. From single women to heads of households, our vision is a Dane County where all women can succeed and reach their potential. Our personal and professional development events provide thoughtful time and space for members to set and achieve goals while building a supportive network of women who care about their community. And our volunteer and fundraising events allow our members to invest time and dollars back into Dane County – supporting United Way of Dane County’s mission to unite the community to achieve measurable results that change lives

Woman in Philanthropy Award
Each year, this prestigious award celebrates and acknowledges a woman who is committed to helping make our community a better place to live, for all. The award also honors her achievements in educating, empowering and inspiring women and young girls to be philanthropic leaders in Dane County. Congratulations to our past recipients!
